This data point captures the amount of jet fuel used in stationary jet turbines, such as those used in industrial gas turbine systems for power generation, testing environments, or backup energy supply. It does not refer to aviation use — this fuel is used in fixed-site equipment, and must be reported in liters.
What to include:
Include all jet fuel (Jet A, Jet A-1, Jet B, or military-grade turbine fuels) consumed in stationary jet turbine engines that are operated by your company, including for energy production, research, or testing.
The fuel quantity should be reported in liters and reflect actual consumption during the reporting year, supported by procurement or internal usage data.
What not to include:
Do not include jet fuel used in aircraft or unmanned aerial systems (those are covered under aviation fuel reporting).
Also exclude any turbine fuel used in mobile or leased assets outside of your operational control.
Any fuel stored but not consumed during the reporting year should not be reported.
Estimation Methodology:
If actual data for the last months of the reporting period isn’t available at the time of reporting, follow this approach:
Step-by-Step Estimation Rule:
Use actual monthly data for all available months in the reporting year.
Calculate the monthly average from the available months.
Multiply that average by the number of missing months to estimate those periods.
Add the estimated consumption to the actual year-to-date total.
