This data point captures the amount of diesel fuel consumed in stationary applications operated by your company. This includes diesel used in backup generators, heating systems, boilers, compressors, and industrial machinery that remains fixed in place. The quantity should be reported in liters and reflect fuel actually consumed during the reporting period.

What to include:

  • All diesel fuel consumed in stationary combustion systems like:

  • Backup generators

  • Industrial boilers

  • On-site heaters or compressors

What not to include:

  • Diesel used in mobile vehicles (cars, vans, forklifts, etc.)

  • Diesel used by third-party contractors or in leased facilities not under your operational control

  • Fuel purchased but not yet consumed

Estimation Methodology:

If actual data for the last months of the reporting period isn’t available at the time of reporting, follow this approach:

Step-by-Step Estimation Rule:

  • Use actual monthly data for all available months in the reporting year.

  • Calculate the monthly average from the available months.

  • Multiply that average by the number of missing months to estimate those periods.

  • Add the estimated consumption to the actual year-to-date total.
