On the Own emission factors tab in Organisation, you override Greenometer's default emission factor for a specific CO2 form question. You can set the factor for one company or for the whole group.
Don't confuse it with the Emission factors page in GM Admin. That page is for Greenometer administrators only.
Where to find the tab
Open Organisation and switch to the Own emission factors tab. The table shows Company, Year, Question, Input unit, Own EF, Own EF unit, Source, Note, Last change and Status.
Until you create a factor, you see "No own emission factors yet".
Add an own emission factor
Select Add own emission factor.
In Question, find the question the factor applies to.
Check the Scope. It is prefilled from the greenometer factor when the question has one.
Enter the Year the factor applies to.
Fill in the Factor and select the Unit. Below the field you see the question's input unit and the Greenometer factor unit.
Add the Source. Attach a file, enter a reference or citation (for example DEFRA 2024, table 5), or both.
Optionally add a Note.
Use the Apply to the whole group toggle to decide whether the factor applies to every company in the group or only to selected ones.
Select Create.
Watch the units
The calculation converts per question, not per unit. If your unit differs from the Greenometer factor's unit, the app warns you. Make sure the factor is expressed per the unit Greenometer uses.
Approval
Every own factor has a status: Pending, Approved, or Rejected. You find it in the Status column.
Only an approved factor is used in the CO2 calculation. When rejecting a factor, you can add a reason. Save your changes before you approve or reject a factor.
If you cannot create a factor
Check that you selected a question and filled in the Year, Factor and Unit. The source needs an attached file, a source reference, or both.
