This data point measures the total volume of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) consumed by company-owned or directly controlled vehicles during the reporting year, reported in liters. CNG is typically stored and dispensed in cubic meters or kilograms, but for reporting consistency under this data point, usage must be converted to liters equivalent.

What to include:

  • CNG used in:

  • Company-owned or directly controlled vehicles (light or heavy-duty)

  • All fueling events during the reporting year

  • Data from supplier fueling reports, receipts, or fleet telematics

What not to include:

  • CNG purchased but not used during the reporting period

  • CNG used by subcontractor or third-party vehicles

  • Usage in leased vehicles where the lessor handles fuel supply and reporting

Estimation Methodology:

  • If full-year data is incomplete:

    • Compile actual consumption for all available months

    • Calculate the monthly average

    • Multiply by the number of missing months

    • Add the estimate to the actual total
