This data point measures the total volume of AdBlue (diesel exhaust fluid) consumed by company-owned or directly controlled vehicles during the reporting year. AdBlue is used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOₓ) emissions from diesel engines.

Although AdBlue itself is not a fuel, its usage is essential for emissions control compliance and operational reporting under ESRS E1.

What to include:

  • AdBlue used in:

  • Company-owned heavy-duty and light-duty diesel vehicles with SCR systems

  • Vehicles under direct operational control

  • All usage in the reporting year, based on actual consumption or tank refill records

  • Data from purchase records, workshop refill logs, or telematics reports

What not to include:

  • AdBlue purchased but not used during the reporting year

  • AdBlue used by third-party transport contractors

  • Usage in leased vehicles where the lessor manages maintenance and reporting

Estimation Methodology:

  • If full-year data is incomplete:

    • Compile actual consumption for all available months

    • Calculate the monthly average

    • Multiply by the number of missing months

    • Add the estimate to the actual total
