This data point tracks the total greenhouse gas emissions, expressed in metric tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e), from the combustion of non-standard fuels (i.e., those not already reported under categories like diesel, LPG, aviation fuel, etc.) in stationary sources during the reporting period. These fuels may include hydrogen, syngas, synthetic fuels, ammonia, or experimental energy blends. The value reported should reflect actual emissions from combustion, calculated using verified emission factors or regulatory tools.
What to include:
Total tCO₂e emissions from:
Experimental or non-listed fuel types
Stationary combustion in labs, pilot systems, generators, or furnaces
Calculated based on actual quantity combusted and appropriate emission factors
Includes: hydrogen, synthetic fuels, syngas, ammonia, waste-derived fuels, propellants, etc.
What not to include:
Emissions already reported under standard fuels (e.g., coal, diesel, LPG)
Mobile combustion (vehicles, portable equipment)
Emissions from non-combustion uses (e.g., fuel loss, storage leaks)
Unused or stored fuel
Estimation Methodology:
If actual tCO₂e data is incomplete:
Use actual consumption for available months
Calculate average monthly emissions
Estimate missing months by multiplying the average
Add estimated emissions to actual emissions
